New Year? So fast?

Mon Dec 31, 2007, 4:34 PM
  • Mood: Cheerful
I'm going to be totally different this year, and make *achievable* resolutions for myself this year! See, half the world is being pessimistic and going, "to hell with resolutions, it's not cool these days," and the other half are going "whee, more things I can add to my *unachievable* list."

See, I'm unique and all.

1. Be nice to people when they don't deserve them.
2. Get portrait drawing advice from Julie and draw at least one portrait of sexy good role-models bi-weekly.
3. Make tiny cards/bookmarks/artsy stuff for a different person every week for three consecutive months.
4. Read at least 2 books every month and write a little review of each.
5. Choose to walk home instead of taking the bus whenever I'm not in extreme discomfort.
6. (Find a job, perchance one that pays relatively well for a delinquent like me?)

I think that's it for now, and I've pasted a big list on top of my computer desk so it's easily visible to me and everyone else every waking moment of this new and hopefully full-of-smiles year.

Also, for I'm late, a very happy belated Eid to everyone. And of course HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you all had excellent Christmases, Kwanzaas, Yules, Winter Solstices, Hanukkahs, St. Stevens Days, Boxing Days, and whatever else you celebrate somewhere around now! Have fun, enjoy, and be the lovely little cheery people that I know you all are.

Happy New Year

I've had a horrible new year. I was hoping to upload my first ever vexel, but oh no. The computer has to come crashing down on me, and torture me to death without actually leaving any physical harm. That's just cruel, that is.

But anyhow, I hope you all have a great new year and that all you hope for comes true. Apparently, my friends think I ought to make some New Year's Resolutions... but I'm really not like that. I don't go around making promises that just won't happen. And I don't like incompleteness. Sure, I make promises that I just don't fulfil, but not incomplete ones. Because those annoy me.

But just for you Iva:

New Year's Resolutions for Moi

1. The following resolutions will be followed in the best possible way and I will try to never stray for them however tempting the otherwise.

2. These resolutions are subject to change at anytime during 2007 if I feel like it.

3. I will try and regularly update all my websites, journals, accounts and whatnots that need updating.

4. I will read each and every book I check out from the library.

5. I will try and spend my lunchtimes more doing something productive, than getting caffeinated at Tim Hortons.

6. I will try and be passionate about optimistic and requisite things, rather than pessimistic about subjects needless of attention.

7. I will try and be more independent and NOT agree to things and activities that my friends force me upon.

I will try to post the extremely bad vexel for an extremely late New Year's present, or an extremely early New Year's Present. Whatever you want. Look forward to it, and then be prepared to laugh endlessly at the patheticness of it all. But you know...it's only my FIRST vexel...and I can't help but suck at it. I think I have an inferiority complex. Not saying it's actually going to turn out any good, but you know. Just reflecting.

Happy New Year!

Another one?

  • Listening to: My conscience
  • Reading: Silmarillion by J.R.R.Tolkien
  • Watching: If I HAD a TV...
  • Playing: Nothing.
  • Eating: Nothing ATM.
  • Drinking: Coke XD
Yes...another one of those pointless entries that don't seem to make any sense or have a concept or even are a remotely reasonable waste of time. Leave me alone! At least I'm trying. I wouldn't even have done it...if it wasn't for Iris.... :ninja:

Anyhow, now that I'm settled in and stuff at "Gary" (Tiles...) I thought I'd get more time to myself so I can update this stuff. But, as it happens, my scanner (not that I was especially fond of it) is not here, so poo. No scans, doodles and scraps...only web stuff. Which I'm not really getting any time to actually work on right now, unlike my assumption. So...lesson is, never presume you will actually get more time if you're moving to a different place, because you won't. In fact, that's a pretty stupid lesson, since I'm quite possibly the only one to have presumed such crap. :O_o:

But, I have just the right amount of time to miss Toronto (or rather, Brampton), and I DO. I miss all yeh people that hate me fer leavin' and all those who don't. Haha...I sound like Hagrid. :XD:

Yes...I'll shut up now. :blahblah: Anyway... update when I update. :D

SCHOOL!

Wed Sep 13, 2006, 7:08 PM
Don't you wonder sometimes why you attend school in the first place? I mean, they SAY, it assists you in the future, but does it really? I mean, if you have to get a part-time job when you're 22 to buy yourself a Christmas present...is school really helping? And I'm being weird...and in case you didn't realize, I was joking. Random posting is nice sometimes. And so are random plugs. SO here.

OMG! I'm actually posting...

Mon Apr 24, 2006, 4:01 PM
Yes...just to let you guys know I'm still alive. I'll be posting things here and there. And yeah...just have a good time! :)
